A word and three poems
The sun is setting on the West. New Nazis are taking over the streets, the academy, the halls of power. Few read books anymore, certainly not history books, not even literary works that have rendered the horrors of the twentieth century vividly and undeniably. The past is cut off from the future and the future looks bleak, however prodigious humanity’s technological achievements. Israel stands alone. Those who think better hasbara will make a difference are living in a dream world. Words mean nothing when it comes to Jews. All the slanders against Israel only show that words have lost their meaning. Genocide, apartheid, occupation, colonialism, settler, extremist, terrorist, law, international law, victim, context, justice, they are all only projectiles to be hurled as a prelude to murder. Murder of Jews via murder of the Jewish state. The only answer to the despicable and unpardonable antisemitism is for Israel to triumph over its enemies. Gaza must be conquered. The Palestinian Authority must be dismantled. Jewish sovereignty west of the Jordan river is the only proper response. No further justification or explanation needed. However much the world may bay for Zionist blood, it will be wise to turn its energies to other matters. Saving the Palestinian lie is not worth a nuclear catastrophe, but you never know how stupid humans can be. The Jewish experiment of antiquity must be relaunched outside the parameters of contemporary shibboleths. A new vocabulary is needed. Two thousand years of Torah need an update. The method and the message call out for a new original. Only then shall the law again come forth out of Zion and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. If the Jews wake up, Israel shall thrive and be free from the river to the sea and beyond if necessary. And if they do not, ring the curtain down, for the time will have come to say goodbye. Amen. Selah.
The Age of Enlightenment If I again take up my pen Naught but the nastiness of men Is what I’ve found to be the rule; The honest cede before the cruel. While screaming in some godless name The virtue seekers show no shame, Never read they what Will did know: Thoughtless words not to Heaven go. They may in years to come repent, The carnage making them relent, But the story of soul and time Shows our lot to be one of crime. So though the words may you seduce, Know never will there be a truce. The Romantic impulse You’re such a romantic, he always said, Rummaging for pleasure amongst the dead. What else gives the edge to sexual thrill, My body asked moving in for the kill, The pores of our bodies seeking the high As skin touching skin brings ecstasy nigh And lets the heart sing in memory’s blush Incredulous at tomorrow’s cruel hush? Yet else have the novels of love all taught Dangerous liaisons soon come to naught And with them the world once scarlet now red; Corpses pile up, the people are bled, Romantics astride the revolution Wind up harbingers of dissolution. So if you would still give passion its head Keep it constrained to the sheets of your bed. The Jewish Question The Nazis are again busy at work Heirs to the man we once called a jerk Because we thought left was different from right, Because we thought day had conquered the night. But now we see nothing has really changed, When it comes to Jews the world’s still deranged, The lies more grotesque, the charges askew, In time they will say they too nothing knew. How right they will be, their hearts all aglow For the sins which they claim the Zionists sow, As if Jews set out to murder and misrule Muslims who eat hate for their daily gruel Supplied at no cost by crescent and cross And lay do-gooders who don’t give a toss For facts, for truth, for history’s record, For all whom Jews have faithfully succoured. Which brings us round to the lesson we learned: The Jewish Question is something best burned. Like everyone else, we’ll make our own way, If you don’t like it you don’t have to stay, But if you harm us we’ll see that you pay With eternal night for your wretched day.

The push has come to shove.
