A so-called Palestinian civilian in Gaza interviewed about an Israeli airstrike complained about how difficult life has become since the Occupation has attacked Gaza. Not Israel, but the Occupation was the term he or she used, with no questions asked of the Sodomite Palestinian by the interviewer, some well-intentioned western reporter eager to display his or her compassion for undeserved human suffering. That the Sodomite could not refer to the enemy as Israel but always as the Occupation shows the profound symbiosis between the so-called innocent civilian population of Gaza and their Hamas rulers. For if Hamas proudly states its aim is to liquidate Israel, the so-called innocent Palestinian population has internalized this aim by never referring to Israel as Israel, but only as the Occupation.
The term serves to dehumanize the Jewish state, to void it of people, of Jews, of Israelis and turn it into this blob that does not consist of human beings who live there, work there, pray there, even go to war there, but instead is simply some inhuman, relentless mechanism called the Occupation. Once that linguistic transformation is effected, one can legitimately assert the Occupation must be dismantled and destroyed, and delude oneself that in doing so one is not killing people, only some oppressive machine that is grinding down poor innocent Palestinian lives. Against the Occupation there can therefore only be the Resistance, an opposition that leaps from the streets of Gaza to the campuses of western universities, where fashionable deconstruction is never properly taught because the imbeciles who teach there have already endorsed the Occupation terminology.
That the students have imbibed the ridiculous course work of their professors can be seen in the proliferation of encampments calling for an end to the Occupation via Resistance and Intifada. Thus do they delude themselves that their call for an end to the Occupation is not a call to massacre Jews when in fact it is nothing less than the usual call: death to the Jews! This is what underlies the incredulity of well meaning people when confronted with the rape, murder, mutilation and burning of men, women and children perpetrated by Palestinians on Israelis. And now that the leaders of the western world have endorsed the Occupation canard along with the BBC, it is little wonder that they have trouble calling out this Jew hatred that surges in their populations. They do not see it and do nothing about it.
The whole apparatus reminds me of the work of one left-wing feminist scholar in Israel years ago who studied the issue of rape of Palestinian women by Israeli soldiers. When she could not come up with evidence of rape, she concluded that its absence was proof of Israeli racism, arguing that Palestinian women were held in such contempt by Israeli men that they would not even rape them. That Jewish ethics and the IDF code of conduct forbade rape even in battle situations never entered her mind. Perhaps she is now working for the United Nations, whose Secretary-General has managed to use the same kind of upside down twisted logic to put Israel on the blacklist of nations that deliberately kill children in wartime. He must have missed the evidence of the IDF showing weapons hidden in children’s cribs in Gaza. No matter. The Occupation can do no right; and innocent Palestinian civilians can do no wrong.
The truth of the matter is that there are no innocent Palestinian civilians in Gaza. Like the Palestinians of the 1948 naqba, to which another Gazan displaced from his home at the start of the war compared his plight, the Gazan Palestinians who joined the Hamas invaders by the thousands on October 7 and the others who celebrated their pillage and plunder when Jewish hostages were dragged back to sodomite soil continue to bemoan their fate as victims of the Occupation’s perfidy. They also continue to indulge in all the myths and lies the Palestinians have been telling themselves for over a hundred years now. Case in point: the Deir Yassin massacre that never happened. For years the Palestinians and their sycophantic western supporters have invoked Deir Yassin as proof of Israeli terrorism. Deir Yassin was an Arab village outside Jerusalem where a fierce battle took place during the War of Independence in 1948. The Muslim Arabs have always claimed that Israeli soldiers massacred an unarmed Arab population there and used that claim to justify their demand that as part of a final settlement of their conflict with the Jewish state, all the refugees who fled Jewish areas during that war and all their descendants have a right of return.
Recently, an Israeli historian examined the historical data surrounding the battle in Deir Yassin and showed that there never was a massacre. He also showed that it was one of the leaders of Arab Muslim forces in Palestine who decided to spread the story that a massacre had occurred, hoping thereby to pressure other Arab states to intervene militarily on their behalf. He succeeded in spreading this story over the objections of the villagers themselves, whose unintended result was to fuel a mass exodus of Arab Muslims from other villages. Thus was born the naqba, the Palestinian lament that the creation of the state of Israel was the perfidious plot of Jews to gain their homeland at the expense of a Palestinian catastrophe. From the naqba to the Occupation the lies have never stopped, only amplified, now gobbled up not only by the Sodomites in Gaza, Judea and Samaria but also by their useful idiots in the western world.
That lying only brings catastrophe is a lesson that is never learned in the Muslim Arab world; and now that terrible lesson is being imported into the democratic swath of the globe with equally disastrous effects. The moral collapse of the West in the face of the terrible events of October 7 and Israel’s response is already eating away at the liberal tradition of the past three hundred years and foreshadows worse times to come. But those who chant “the Occupation” have become so cognitively blind they cannot see it. It is noteworthy that in the Biblical story of Sodom the evil inhabitants of that city were struck blind before fire and brimstone rained down its total destruction upon it. Such is likely to be the fate not only of Gaza, but also of Ramallah and Lebanon, with nothing but a well deserved pillar of salt in the lobby of the United Nations as testimony to human folly and turpitude. As for Israel, Netanyahu’s warning that Israel’s fight is the fight of the West continues to fall on deaf ears and unseeing eyes.

Your writing is brilliant. You have said much more eloquently than I ever could, exactly the thoughts that have been going through my head. I fear we are heading for a neo-dark ages. Where truth and lies are intwined and morality is lost.
